Full-time firefighters who are trained and employed by participating central Indiana departments are eligible for nine undergraduate credit hours from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. You can apply these credits towards any of SPEA's undergraduate degree programs.
Sworn full-time police officers who have graduated from any of the five law enforcement academies in Indiana are eligible for 12 undergraduate credit hours from SPEA IU Indianapolis. Students can apply these credits towards any of SPEA's undergraduate degree programs.
SPEA students who have completed the Correctional Training Institute through the Department of Corrections have the opportunity to earn 6 credits toward their degree. Credit is earned through Indiana State University (ISU).
